Hi from John at Alexander Photography

Newark-on-Trent.

I was born in Ireland and grew up surrounded by wide-open countryside with views that live forever in my mind.

As a lad walking along the cliffs on a sunny day with views of the open Atlantic Ocean, you want to hold that moment in anticipation. The wind blowing from the sea and the beauty of it all seem to be able to awaken all of your senses.

I recall looking out from the cliffs, the light changing while the waves crashed against the rocks and the shoreline - it was like a scene from a movie. The excitement of walking along the edge of the cliff is an experience, a moment when you feel like you are part of something grand.

My Photography has grown from my time in Ireland.

Now I enjoy a wander in the hills, a camera in hand to capture the view and moments when I’m not busy being a husband, Dad, Taxi driver, problem solver, Grandfather, spaceship builder for my two grandchildren, who help me empty my pockets at the sweet shop.

Well, you know the tale, oh, we need a photographer!

"Oh! We need a photographer to attend a function soon. "

This has led me to explore how to provide coverage at events such as weddings, birthdays, parties & charity events.
